Who Can Convert To Natural Gas

Anyone within the Washington Gas service territory may be able to convert to natural gas. If your home is near one of our gas mains, you may be able to receive gas service, but you must agree to convert both your furnace and water heater. In some cases, a conversion deposit may be necessary to defer the cost of the installation.

In order for Washington Gas to determine your conversion eligibility, we need to determine how far away the nearest gas main is from your home, the square footage of your home and the number and type of gas appliances you are planning to install. We will then let you know if gas is available. If a deposit is required, we will determine if some costs can be defrayed by installing additional gas appliances.

Call or Email us today and enjoy the benefits of natural gas service in your home. Call 703-941-HEAT or toll free 1-888-941-HEAT. We're Washington Gas... giving you energy, plus the time to use it.
